Welcome to our hula ʻohana, where we honor the heartbeat of Hawaiʻi. By sharing the precious traditions and stories passed down through our family, we hope to help our students grow in grace and bring a spirit of aloha to our entire community.

Our kumu hula
Shelsea Lilia Ai
Building on the hula traditions of her family, Kumu Shelsea carries forward a love of hula and a deep respect for Hawaiian culture.
Her mother, Kumu Hula Olana Ai, is part of that living lineage. Through Hālau Lilia Makanoe, Shelsea shares traditional hula, language, and cultural practices with students of all ages.
At the heart of the hālau is a simple hope: to help each student grow in grace, and to bring aloha into the wider community.
